The Association was started in 1994, initially to co-ordinate events between motorcycle clubs. It has since evolved into an Association that does a lot more. It now has a membership of over 50 clubs and is still growing. Our aim is to unite and promote motorcyclists of all types. Together with the other regional associations we have formed a national body, South African National Bikers Alliance (SANBCA), to enable dialogue with the various Governmental Departments on issues that affect us. e.g. Safety and Toll roads. The Association is steered by an Exec Committee comprising nine individuals, all of whom belong to separate member clubs. This Committee is voted in biennially at an AGM, which is held in March.
